We are so sad to say we lost our Daisy Mae yesterday. Exactly 1 week from when we lost our Peanut. Our house is so quite.......... We do take comfort in the fact that they are together and running free. They both will be sorely missed. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

Oh dear, this is very sad news also :-( I don't think my mum can take much more of this :-(

I am glad that Peanut and Daisie Mae are together once again, running free and playing at the Bridge.

Our hearts are aching for you all - once again, you are in our thoughts.

Love

This reminds me of stories that you hear about couples who have been married for decades, and when one passes, the other one soon follows. It's like soul mates just don't feel like going on without each other. I'm really sorry for this tough time in your lives and you'll be in our thoughts.

Love,

Oh I am so sorry to hear this! Our little buddies are always there for us, even after they "leave us". They never really do leave.

They have each other and you have each other and all your wonderful memories.

I am so very, VERY sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine your pain. My human was deeply upset after losing her 16 year old Siberian in November 2005. The only thing that consoled her was finding me a month later on Christmas Eve.

May your wonderful memories of Daisy Mae and Peanut help comfort you at such a difficult time.

You will all be together again one day!

Daisy Mae and Peanut did want to be young and healthy again for Christmas and now they are. Together running free at the bridge.

So very sorry for your loss! My mom had two cats once. They were both Toms but real mates. When one went, the other just didn't have the heart to go on so they are together at the Bridge. At least we got to know them thru the blog and will treasure them always.

Losing two so close together, so heartbreaking. Its nice to know that they loved each other so much that they knew they needed each other across the Rainbow Bridge.

Be free, whole, and healthy, until you are reunited once again.

I've only dropped in for a moment 'cos I don't have time to blog for another little while, but this was too important to let go.

I just wanted to say I am really sooooo so sorry to hear that both Peanut and Daisy Mae are no longer with you and us.

You must be devastated. I don't know what more to say, only that they're happy and free of any physical restrictions now.

I hope that you're okay. We're sending you doggydom hugs and tintinlicks in loving memory of these two gorgeous dooooogs...

...chow for now (tho' a bit off my food 'cos of this),

So sorry to read your sad news today. We lost our 16 year old beagle mid 2006 and that was sad enough! They are together now though and that would make them happy. We are thinking of you in this sad time.

Oh no, I'm so very sorry. I had a similar time last spring, when the best cat I'll ever know, and the saddest husky I'll ever know, both became terminally ill within a week of one another, although their deaths ended up being separated by a couple of months. It just felt so unfair, and so does the loss of your two sweeties one after the other like this. Heartbreaking.

If there's any comfort to be had, it's that Daisy Mae didn't have time to really have to learn to live without her Peanut (my kitty who passed away left her son---those two were SUCH a team after 10 years together and my heart still breaks for my lonely orange boy).

That our furry critters have such short lives is all the more reason to love them as fiercely as we can, with every day with them we're given. I know you loved your doggies as fiercely as any doggies have ever been loved, and I'm sure that they knew it too.

I am so sorry about your loss. I too lost a sister Bassett in November of last year. I really miss her. She was only about 8 years old.
